Personal Statement/Background

I love teaching music to students excited to learn it! I have been playing and writing music for more than twenty years, and have taught students of all ages both in private lessons and in group workshops and classes.

I especially love teaching music theory and composition, and watching my students' creativity take off.

I have a Bachelors in Music from Earlham College and a Master of Fine Arts in Music Composition from the California Institute of the Arts
